What if a movie production company decided to make a Paul Bunyan movie.

And it decided to cast this mythical American folk hero as a black man!

What if another production company decided to make a Johnny Appleseed movie.

And what if it decided to cast a black actor as the iconic figure.

How about if Billy The Kid was simply changed into a black man.

Or...

See where I am going with this?

Is is racist to want iconic characters of myth, and reality, to keep their race and ethnicity?

WHY RACISM IS NOT THE REASON I WILL NOT SEE THE 2015 FANTASTIC FOUR MOVIE

     Michael B. Jordan, the actor portraying The Human Torch in the reboot of the upcoming The Fantastic Four movie is, understandably, standing up to the critics of him being cast as the formerly Caucasian character of Johnny Storm, sister to... also Caucasian... Sue Storm.

     The stance that young Mr. Jordan has decided to take centers around calling the fans who disagree with casting an African-American man... changing the race of an establish white Marvel Comics character into a black man... racist.

     I, a 56 year old black American man born in the deep south in 1959 KNOWS racism when he see it, believe that young Mr. Jordan's stance is patently ridiculous. I hate his casting as Johnny Storm... and I have no racist reason for my hatred of his casting in this part in the movie.

     The Fantastic Four has had several added members over the years. One of these added members was one of the few African-American characters in comics back in the early days of Marvel. His name is... LUKE CAGE, POWER MAN!

     I, to this day, cannot fathom why the writers of this movie, the producers of this movie or the director of this movie did not cast young Mr. Jordan as Luke Cage to introduce Power Man to the movie audience at large.

     I do not understand this casting screw-up!

     There are so few black characters in the Marvel Universe, why not be smart about casting black actors in black acting parts... not taking well established white characters, like Nick Fury for example, and changing his character into that of a black man! What about ALL of the history of a white Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos. What about all the back history of a white Nick Fury and his dealings with S.H.I.E.L.D and Hydra and all the rest of that history? How am I, a black man, suppose to just throw out all that Marvel history that I have read for decades!

     I WANT young Mr. Jordan to be a Marvel superhero! He could have been cast as Black Panther! How about Black Goliath! How about Brother Voodoo! How about Night Thrasher, or Cloak, or Patriot, or even Gentle!

     No, the producers and the other powers that be for this new Marvel project have to take the straight controversy route and allow the bombs of racism... from the movie's camp and from the fan's camp... to be lobbed at each over from over the fence of a very stupid argument.

     Are some people racially motivated by their dislike over the change of race in The Fantastic Four movie? Perhaps! People sure have gotten over the the change to Nick Fury! But, I ... a black Marvel Comic Book Fan... want black actors to portray black characters. Come on, young Mr. Jordan, you should have fought to be one of the excellent BLACK characters in the Marvel universe, instead of throwing accusations at the fans of being racist... just because the fans want Johnny Storm to be the white character that he is!

     I will not go to see your movie because of all I just explained. I will not tell anyone else to not go to see your movie. If my son wants to go support The Fantastic Four this summer, I will not say a negative word to him. But me, on the other hand... I am old school Marvel. A black character is a black character! 

     PASSING is a relic of the racist past! Reverse-Passing is just plain perverse... even in a movie about fantasy superheroes!

Oh, and to let the world know... I feel the same way about Will Smith being cast as Deadshot of the Suicide Squad movie!

Talk about horror on the radio waves...

As soon as Chad Dukes starts his 2:00 radio show on CBS Radio WJFK... playing that nasty N****R Hating Music he starts his show off with... I have to turn off the radio! I can't take it when he starts that racist music to begin his show!

I would rather go outside and risk a heart attack shoveling snow than listen to that music set my mood for the rest of the weekend!

I grew up in Texas. I graduated high school in 1977. We black people heard white people singing, and playing, a certain kind of music espousing a certain kind of attitude toward alcohol, women and those other people. The white people... older white people... warned us that music was N****R hating music! And, you are to avoid white people when they are listening to it... unless you want to disappear!

I believe Chad Dukes knows those facts. He can play that music as he talks wrestling, guns, alcohol and chicks as he hides his racism behind this relatively new sports paradigm at WJFK.

WJFK will even pair him with a black man occasionally... that does not gloss over the horrible heart inside that man.

It shames me that black people go on his show... obviously oblivious to his racist past!

Actually, all you have to do is listen to the introduction music to his show!

PS. I am still writing this letter. I have yet to get up to turn off the radio. Now Chad Dukes is railing against the new movie Chappie... about the South African director and why he keeps South African themes in his movies... about how bad the special effects were in District 9 and the veiled reference to the many, many black South African people in the movie.

Chad Dukes said he did not see Elysium... yet he has these wild opinion about the director’s movies and the fact that he will direct the next Alien movie.

Both District 9 and Elysium were given great praise when they were released. Both movies were fantastic, in fact.

Dukes has a bug up his ass about comparing the PG rated movie Shirt Circuit to the R rated Chappie. Short Circuit was released in 1986... and it was a shallow, but sweet natured movie, almost ET-like. It was a movie parents took their kids to.

Chappie, on the other hand, is R rated and it is ADULT! The director makes very violent movies... and Chappie is way too violent for young children. And, the director is obviously making an adult movie here. Some people are going to like this South African director, using his South African people along with other accented people, in the leads. Other people.. racists, bigots, nationalists, Republicans... will hate it because of all I have said

If you are a racist, gun toting, beer swilling, redneck wannabe like Chad Dukes, then, all of these things bug the hell out of you.

Like, especially the parts about black people.

The truth about the health care system across America is this: It is NOT prepared for a major pandemic type of disease... especially in Texas. The people across the country who are reporting on this Texas debacle are, for some lazy reason, refusing to attack the fact that Rick Perry and the Texas Republicans behind him have gutted Texas’ education and health care system over the last decade!

Texas is Ground Zero in the war on women’s health care rights. And, that war has spilled out into the rest of the Texas health care system.

It is time for reasonable America to admit that conservative war mongering and conservative austerity and conservative sequestration and conservative religion mongering is KILLING America... and KILLING Americans! 

To me, the fact that Americans are on the verge of giving the Senate to the Republicans, making them twice as powerful as they are now, is as frightening as the Ebola hysteria itself!

What in the hell is wrong with white America? What are you people thinking? Are you not listening to how crazy and dangerous these backward thinking Republican men, and women, are sounding?

Think about all of this when you are standing in that voting booth... with your hand hovering over the Republican button. To vote Republican is to vote for war, ignorance, racism, misogyny, hateful behavior, southern ethos, homophobia, anti-black rhetoric, the attack on voting rights, gerrymandering, sequestering the American way of life, and anything else negative the Republicans can think of to weaken Americans!

Whatever negative things you believe about the Democrats are your beliefs... but one only has to pick up a newspaper and read for one’s self that Democrats, as a party, are trying to get us out of war... and trying to bring social sense back to Americans... and help the poor in need.

What is wrong with that, people?

Come on, Americans... Republicans like Ted Cruz and Darrell Issa and Rick Perry and Mike Huckabee, and many others, are wealthy men who are obsessed with crushing the poor underneath their feet and imposing their evil morality on all of us. THE GAME CALLED RACIAL STATISTICS

This wonderful young man is my son, Harrison.

He is a proud graduate of James Madison University.

This young man is going to be the best teacher in America in around a year...

He begins graduate school for his Masters in Education in late August!

I am proud of the fact that he graduated from this great university.

I am proud to be the father of this young man who is smarter than me.

I am proud of the role I played in guiding him into embracing his education.

I am proud of the fact that attending James Madison University did not break him.

JMU is obviously a proud university with decades of heritage and history.

20,000 students attend this Virginia university at any one time in the year.

It runs like a city with politics at the top of the chain of events...

And those politics are in question in my mind as a dad of a JMU graduate.

Almost 300 students attended JMU's College of Education in 2014.

There were seven young men who graduated from this section of the university.

Guess how many of these seven young men were African-American.

If you guessed only one, then you are right... and he happened to be my son!

I found it to be shameful that a university with the resources of JMU...

Only had one black male in this basically all female, basically all white department.

And, I found it even more dumbfounding that this university did not offer my son...

Basically any assistance, financial or moral, during his four years there.

It is the American way for students to have crushing debt when they graduate from big universities!

 But this university, I believe, should have given its ONE BLACK MALE STUDENT a little help!

And when I contacted the university, after graduation, to voice my discontent...

I was dismissed by the dean of the financial aid department with an "F***K YOU response."

These are my words... the father of the student.

I have not discussed this matter with my son.

He is back there at JMU right now preparing for his Masters year...

And I am sure he will get through this year as the only African-American male among the norm.

One might look at JMU sports and think there are a lot of black people at JMU.

Remember, folks... university athletics is a separate machine using different gears.

There could easily be 50 black athletes at a college and none on the rest of the campus!

I am living proof as to how that caveat to university attendance works.

I am proud of my son.

He has NEVER been in trouble.

But, like any black young man in America today,

He could be a Ferguson, Missouri shot dead on the street statistic at any moment in time!

JMU is located by a very large town out there in the hills of Virginia.

There are not a lot of black people in this area of Virginia.

Every day I hope to the stars above that he comes back home alive and well...

Not because he had been to war, but because he is in college in a all white area of Virginia.

He'll be OK, this I know.

I am sensitive because I am angry at the university and the way it has used my son.

When the government asks JMU to show its diversity statistics,

It can say... we had one black young man in that department... and in America that's enough!

Three years ago, Bank OF America and JP Morgan Chase make a huge screw-up, to put it nicely, in handling an account of mine at Bank Of America. That error, that JP Morgan chase admitted it caused by way of MANY managers there over the course of eight months of wrangling with them, caused Bank Of America to lose almost $50,000 dollars out of my account. At first both banks told me they would replace my lost money. Both banks pretended to research the issue and eventually decided to repay me... that is until I was moved to that one last person who is the one to give the final bait and switch lie.

I sent in pages of the proof they told me I needed to submit in order to get back my money. Eventually, they lied to me... with no intention to pay me back.

In fact, JP Morgan eventually sent two women after me, by phone, to intimidate me with name calling and threats of what their lawyers would do to me if I continued to call them about the matter.

Bank of America took a more extreme action. One of the Advocates to the CEO of the company in Charlotte, N.C, named Michael Lynch, called me several times to literally fight me on the telephone about my issues. It was obvious to me that his job was to beat me down by intimidation until I left Bank Of America alone, out of frustration.

He threatened me by telling me that he TOLD me what he was not going to do! He told me that he was the last person at Bank Of America that I could go through... and he was not going to help me. He threatened me he would fight me. He called me a NIGGER on the telephone -- ON BANK OF AMERICA’S TELEPHONE LINE!

I wrote a series of letters to Bank Of America, to the CEO, literally screaming my disbelief at its behavior. And I told the people at Bank Of America, including the CEO, that I did not want David Lynch to open my mail. I wanted another Advocate to work my case. Not only did David Lynch intercept my mail -- which I wrote on the front and back that DAVID LYNCH WAS NOT TO OPEN THIS MAIL --  he opened my mail, he called me back at my home and gloated that he could do anything he wanted to do to me.

When I told him he was not above the law and that he committed a federal crime when he opened my mail, that statement was the impetuous for the argument... when he called me a Nigger on the telephone.

I went to the Office Of The Comptroller Of The Currency’s office for help!
I contacted the SEC!
I wrote a letter to the FBI!
I contacted lawyers!
I contacted other banks!
And they all told me that I needed to find a lawyer to take a case like this. So far... no luck!

This is only .05% of the 100 percent of this issue. There is so much more that I may, one day, place my hundreds and hundreds of documents and letters from these bank’s members and mine to them online for you all to see what these vampire banks will do to you if go after them when they F**K YOU OVER!

They ruined my credit and really stomped over what I took decades to develop!

Word to the wise... NEVER trust theses banks! There is a culture inside of them that is like a Ebola Virus. Once you let it inside your world, it will bleed you to death from the inside out!

Jamie Dimon, the nasty weasel who runs JP Morgan Chase, was just diagnosed with Throat Cancer. I believe that he directly sent the two Chase female intimidators after me to threaten me with harm. It was only after I wrote his office in New York City two letters explaining my plight that I began to receive the we will send our “LAYWER DEATH THREATS” after you harassing telephone calls from Illinois. I do not like that dick of a man!

But now that the government has been shut down by the Tea Party, who was supported by the CEO's of both of these companies -- John Schnatter (Papa Johns) and the self-confirmed homophobe Dan Cathy (Chick-fil-A) --, both of these men are now nowhere to be found.

It was the fear and hatred out of these men, along with the hatred and unlimited blood money from the RACIST billionaire Koch Brothers and the hundreds of other traitorous right-wing bullies like them -- including Mitt Romney and the rest of the Republicans, who have brought this government to a standstill!

And until right thinking Americans vote these Republican monsters out of office in November, 2014, this madness WILL continue!

My son is now a senior at a university here in Virginia. I raised him to be liberal minded... a man to love everybody. I want him to respect himself, his race and especially... WOMEN! I do not expect my son to EVER have domestic confrontations with the women in his life.

At college, I expect him to learn, be respectful to the university process and to BE a force for expanded openness that universities are SUPPOSED to generate.

Every person in the Senate, the Congress, and the White House went to bed with a full belly of food last night. Many of these people are very wealthy, all of them are well paid and a lot of them had fancy meals in fancy restaurants at the end of the day. Many of them drank expensive wine, good beer and expensive whiskey with that meal. A lot of them chomp down on expensive cigars while they tell the stories to one another of the underhanded insider stock trade they just made. All of them go home to air conditioned dwellings, sleep on fine sheets and bathe using hot water in nice showers.

When they wake up this morning, they will have their coffee, read their newspaper, mull over their many choices of articles of clothing to put on and get into their cars, if they want to drive to work… if they want to. The women are all well dressed, manicured and have their hair done at fancy salons. The women carry in their fancy hand bags the best lotions, perfumes and lip stick. Everyone looks good for each other as they gut the economy of the bare essential programs that give the people ‘below’ them dignity, food for energy and a reason to get up and live.

Half of the haves in Washington DC are an abomination to the very order of life in America! These men and women, these elected officials who are suppose to be compassionate proxies for the people they supposedly serve. They… who have everything they need to live on and provide food for their family members. They are hateful, spiteful, immoral, evil filled creatures who would rather let an American child starve to death than get their heads out of their asses and fix the economy like they know they can!

Every politician who votes to starve another child in America, actually contributing to the declining health and well being of the people who they are suppose to help… you are evil personified and should burn in whatever hell your parents believe in. When Barak Obama was sworn into the office of the President a few years ago, America was ecstatic with the possibilities. The Republican hate machine immediately went into action! Imagine this… Barak Obama becomes president. He enacts the policies that he ran on… without Republican opposition. Can you imagine what America would be like today? Roads would be fixed! Bridges would be fixed! Sewer systems in the big cities would be right in the middle of refurbishing. Education would be a priority! The banks would be under control! And people would be applauding universal health care!

The CBS executives are known racist hoarders. Across the board, CBS has had company issues with racism over the years. CBS radio, in Washington D.C. for example, is known to be ABJECTLY RACIST… including the on-air sports shock jocks using the word N****r and completely disrespecting Native American culture and defending negative branding of a word that marks Native American’s darkest times in history. The ignorance from the racist employees at CBS is frightening… and continues to be the displayed to this day.

I believe, these people are known to be racist by CBS executives before they are hired. The fact that their racism preceding them means nothing to CBS executives. If you are a racist CBS executive, what do you care when you hear N bombs, Asian racist insults and homophobic slurs. You, the CBS executive, already probably use these terms yourself… “So what is the big deal?” Perhaps, says the CBS executive.

I want to know how many black people are at the CBS executive level for buffering against the racism, like that would really matter. Just like the present American Congress… when you put scores of racist white men together and give them power -- they impose radical racist agendas, openly attack black people’s civil rights and show their true evil disrespectful disdain for women and their right to control their own bodies!

Who Is Actually On Trial In The Trayvon Martin Case?

I've got three things that are bugging the hell out of me about this MURDER case!

1 -- Why in the name of anything reasonable in America is Rachael Jeantel being subjected to the grilling about her personal 19 year old life by the Defense Attorney. Should not his questions be relegated only to the telephone conversation she had with Trayvon Martin up until the moment of his death? What in the hell does ANYTHING she said, or did, matter after George Zimmerman shot Martin dead? After the telephone goes dead while Martin is confronted by Zimmerman… her relationship with this matter is done!

Leave the chick alone, people.

2 -- Why is Trayvon Martin’s Bag of Skittles still perfectly intact. And, why is Trayvon Martin’s can of Arizona Iced Tea not busted or crumpled or busted open. I believe, if Trayvon Martin was the thug he is being painted out to be by some people, he would have hit Zimmerman with that can. And we all know that the aluminum used for Arizona Iced Tea cans is paper thin.

Why are Martin’s items not damaged?

3 -- The Defense wants us to believe Martin was on top of Zimmerman, beating him to within an inch of his life… thus, leaving Zimmerman with one option -- shoot Martin dead! And that Martin’s body fell on top of Zimmerman. Zimmerman then rolled Martin off of him.

But, I want to know this… if those facts are true… then why, and how, was Martin found with his arms and hands UNDERNEATH HIS BODY! That is not ergonomically possible… unless Zimmerman placed Martin’s hands under his body!

Zimmerman shot Martin -- that is truth. How did Martin fall onto his face with his hands underneath his body? Two men standing face to face! One man shoots the other man dead with one shot! The dead man’s body falls instantly face first to the ground… arms instantly loose and under the body as it hit’s the ground!

Unless, Zimmerman staged the body in that position!

4 -- How in the hell did Zimmerman get those scratches on the back of his head? Did anybody check Zimmerman’s fingernails for flesh underneath them? Perhaps, they might have found Zimmerman’s OWN scalp flesh underneath his own fingernails.

I’ve got many more questions… but these are the ones that bug me the most!

Six white women on the jury! Not one black person on the jury! Holy hell! What in the fuck happened to the caveat -- judged by a jury of your peers!

I hope to his god that one of these years, when he is traveling outside of this country, the police of that country will arrest him, jail him and refuse to send him back to America. Obviously, the corrupt American Department of Justice will not arrest these men and charge them with war crimes. Maybe another country will do our job for us.

I Need A Boat To Float Out Into The Middle Of The River To Just Float Away...

There is an odd subculture of American life today…
It lives just under the surface of common culture.
Its denizens are sniping assassins who won’t come out to play…
Rather, they throw out barbs and insults for silly torture!

They refuse to look between the lines of the written text!
They pounce upon the subject matter with claws bared as sport.
They do not have a single clue about that mystery word… “Context!”
They do not think beyond the moment as they hold Kangaroo court!

Everybody is an individual who does not link mind to mind with others.
Humans get along with each other better when they refuse to be a Sniper!
No one accepts another person undercutting his hard earned druthers.
And sniping from the outside will never make you fuller and riper!

How many people are millionaires today based solely upon context?
How many people get their life in order solely based upon context?
How many wars have been created solely upon context?
How many people miss their calling based solely upon context?

Every person reading this missive will contextualize these words their way.
Some of them will draw zero context, to instead criticize, bitch and moan.
Others will absolutely understand every reference I have to say.

I'll give you the little bit of "hate" mail you asked for in your comment. But, unlike you... I'll make a little goddamn  sense! First I’ll ask you this question, “What in the hell are you talking about? What?”

There was not one gay person in America attacking Chick-Fil-a until the owner of the chain came out of his racism closet last summer to tell the world that he, and Chick-Fil-A, do NOT support gay anything. Then he thumped the bible before vanishing out of sight for the past 8 months. Dan Cathy started the conflict with gay people with HIS unprovoked attack on them.

Remember the craziness of Republican business owners losing their goddamn minds becaust they were feeling full of themselves because they were convinced that Barack Obama was a “cooked as a goose” President, who was out on his ass! Well, now many of these business jerks are stepping and trying to get back in the good graces of the customers they offended!

And Chick-Fil-A stepped into a pile of muddy trash when it decided to attack the gay community. I want to know, what was the position of this California Chick-Fil-A during the controversial phase of Dan Cathy’s racism. What was he saying then about what the owner of the company was saying?

Mindy McCready -- Obviously A Victim Of Mental Illness

It is simply too bad that Mindy McCready had such a hard time in her life. We have here another prime example of a tortured soul who obviously had profound mental issues, yet, America at its base level has such a profoundly hard time with the concept of forcing the government to address the mental health issues of a very large portion of the American population. Therefore, we see cases like Mindy McCready played out in the media, day after day.

 

Lindsay Lohan is another prime example. Is the judicial system, and the medical community, simply going to sit on their hands until Lindsay kills herself, too?

Mindy McCready could have done so much more with her life if she had been forced to receive the medical assistance she needed when she first began to exhibit mental illness symptoms. Instead, “They” simply chased a mentally handicapped woman around the country from incident to incident, never forcing her to get help.

And, again, now she has killed herself. And tomorrow, good ol’ American style apathy will again rule the day!
